SUMMARY:Climares Academy
DESCRIPTION:After a successful launch of the Climares Academy in Rabat\, followed by the inception meeting in Marrakech\, the Academy continues in 2026 with online meetings on Fridays. These online sessions focus on informal exchanges to maintain team spirit\, facilitate peer-to-peer feedback\, and provide content sessions to give the PhD candidates the conceptual and methodological tools to conduct their research. \nThe 2026 Climares Academy program supports the PhD candidates in the early stages of their research\, while they are developing their research proposals\, are making first contacts with their communities of interest\, and are mapping stakeholders for the knowledge ∞ action networks. The Academy gives the students the tools to develop and refine their research proposals\, to plan and conduct fieldwork\, with a strong focus on participatory and collaborative approaches. Through interactive sessions\, workshops\, and peer feedback\, the PhD candidates explore core concepts and theories\, design research roadmaps\, map stakeholders and networks\, and co-create interview guides and data collection strategies. The Academy also offers specialized modules on climate storylines\, theory of change\, participatory research methods\, and interpreting physical climate data.
